Episode 216: We’re Over Spooky

Hey! This episode of The Scope is telling everybody what Adam, Jared, and Shane are into. So that means you’ll learn about some video games, cameras, and whatever Adam is digging right now. Who can remember everything?

And if that doesn’t grab you, you’ll have to tune in just to find out what new character Adam brings to the table. We’re hoping for an angry nun on the run.

The Scope episode 216 is inspired by true events.

Episode 215: Cowboy Kim Davis

In this edition of The Scope, The Nerd Roundtable returns for some fantastic talk about The Martian, Fall TV surprises, and Trevor Noah, all day, all night.

Also, in a curious bit of performance art (or was it?) Adam channels his inner…horse-fearing cowboy and completely dominates the entire episode. It’s definitely a must-see!

The Scope episode 215 is seein’ Burnt.

Under The Scope | Movie Review: Bridge of Spies

What happens when you mix Tom Hanks and Steve Spielberg in the year of 2015? Well, you get the historical drama, Bridge of Spies.

In the late 1950s, America was knee deep in a Cold War. This little film tells but one of many tales from that crazy time in history. And you can bet Mr. Hanks will give it his best.

But the real question is this: will Jared and Shane like his acting effort? Well, buddy,  there’s only one way to find out. (No, we aren’t going to tell you. Figure it out yourself, slacker.)

The Scope Bridge of Spies review can’t pilot a U2 spy plane.

Episode 214: Walter Krumcat, You’re the Wurst

Adam, Jared, and Shane kick start another brand new episode of The Scope was it episode (214 or 211?) with some serious talk about serious subjects. Or at least a little bit about Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the rest of the Muppet gang. You did know they have a new show, right?

Along with puppet talk, Adam once again delivers a bunch of the latest news headlines with a level of nobility not usually found on a podcast. You’d be remiss to miss it.  So don’t!

The Scope episode 214 doesn’t want urine the color of Orange Crush.

Under The Scope | Movie Review: The Walk

Whether you are a fan of wires, heights, or the combination of both wires and heights, the new film, The Walk, directed by Robert Zemeckis, will certainly give you your fill.

Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, this movie tells the true life tale of Philippe Petit and his wire walk between the World Trade Center Towers. And who better to give you the latest Scope movie review than Jared and Shane, both self-proclaimed circus stunt junkies?

Answer: NO ONE.

So strap on your high wire booties and assemble your balancing stick, because your Scope crew is going to tell it like it is. And they’ll do it without any sort of IMAX shenanigans.

The Scope The Walk movie review isn’t sold on the french accent.

Episode 213: New Chairs Are Our Future

Your favorite podcasting trio is back with another stellar episode of The Scope. This time around, the boys fill you in on the important things in their lives. We’re talking jobs, college degrees and possibly the most important modern days archaeologic discovery in the history of the world. Or, at the very least, Shane’s parents’ house.

So listen intently as Jared, Adam and (mostly) Shane tear open an emotional vein. It’s getting real up in here, folks.

The Scope episode 213 didn’t know Jared was into wrestling. Why? Because it didn’t come up.

Under The Scope | Movie Review: The Martian

It’s been a while, but Shane is back with Jared for another excellent Scope movie review. This time around, the guys tackle The Martian, the film adaptation of Andy Weir’s acclaimed novel.

The Martian stars Matt Damon (along with about a billion other well-known actors) as a cool, funny, and altogether neat astronaut who’s been stranded on the planet Mars. Will he ever make it back to Earth? Hell, will he even last a few weeks?

Well, your Scope hosts aren’t saying. But they will give you one fantastic movie review for your troubles. So get to making haste and start listening (or watching) right NOW!

The Scope The Martian review would not be able to grow potatoes on the red planet. Or the green planet, for that matter.

Episode 211: Sponsored by Gushers

Summer vacation is over and that means Scope school is back in session. Jared, Adam, and Shane return to talk football, Vincent Diesel, and fruit snacks. Not to mention a whole lot of other newsy type things, too.

It’s a very talky episode (and that’s a good thing because The Scope is a talk show, if you think about it.) So buckle up, buttercup. The Scope is back and on the attack. Or at least it’s into rhyming.

The Scope episode 211 loves a great Kool Keith voicemail message.

Under The Scope | Movie Review: The Visit

M. Night Shyamalan + found footage = The Visit. The writer and director of many twistful films visits the horror genre by sending two kids to visit their grandparents. However, things are a little strange with Nana and Pop-pop. Good thing Becca and T. Diamond Styles are documenting the whole trip for their mother. It’s too bad they forgot to stop rolling when the freestyle rapping stated.

The Scope The Visit review has the good sense to drop the camera when lives are at stake.
