Episode 69: In The Midst Of Our Business

In an unprecedented event, Adam skips out on another recording of America’s 1,256th favorite podcast about geeks and pop culture. Why would he do that? Our guess is to work on his current passion project: hydroponic eggplant farming. Don’t ask. He won’t tell.

After listening, we’re sure Adam will be kicking himself. He missed out on the most unsexy sexy episode of the Scope ever. Yes, the show was dedicated to the number “69” and all of the naughtiness that goes with it.

While The Scope didn’t get all that nasty, Jared and Shane did tell some moderately embarrassing stories about past sexual transgressions. Newsflash: the guys were not the ultimate lady-killers you imagined them to be. (Insert uncomfortable serial-killer comedy here.)

We also let some of our listeners listener get in on the act by reading her embarrassing story live! And Metrobuzzer John Norton comes through big time with one of the most impactful sick twisted truthful voicemails ever. Don’t taze me, Dude!

Great show guys, I love it when I see the name of an episode and it makes no sense whatsoever, but then its meaning is gloriously revealed mid-show. And the George Lopez guest jokes had me in tears laughung. Keep it up Jared and Shane. Adam, you’re missed.

Another great show, didn’t even really notice that Adam was missing. Excited for the listener show next week. Will try and submit some ideas of my own soon.

I loved this episode, no joke it was one of your best ones yet … and no Shane, I’m not the Keith from Voltron and I would love an attempt to ‘hit the post’.

I thought my cat was the only one that would lock himself in the room. He’s almost 2 years old, but the stupid bastard will go into the bedroom or the closet and you’ll hear the door slam shut. The only thing he has torn up is the carpet around the door though. I haven’t found any “presents” lying around. And by presents i mean shit.

Guess who is #69 to join the Facebook Scope group? Yep, me.

I think the Big Bang Theory is to geeks on TV what the Jeffersons was to black people on TV. It’s still not perfect, but it is introducing them as Main Characters instead of just being the silly neighbor characters. Can’t say I’ve watched more than one episode of it, but I’m proud that it exists, and I expect it is laying the groundwork for more geek-friendly shows that will follow in its footsteps.
