We’re also advertising our “Find These Guys, Win a Prize” campaign. Basically, if you find us at the con, we’ll ask you questions, and you’ll win a cheap prize.

That’s the deal, folks. We hope to see a lot of you there. And remember: the fate of our show relies on you!

Special Edition: The Scope Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen Review

We almost didn’t, but the advance word was so bad that we had to endure Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen for you, our precious listeners (I hope that sentence didn’t spoil our verdict). Plus, I think you guys were expecting us to review the film, and we do as we’re told.

Join Jared and Shane — Adam had the good sense to stay away — as they dissect every last tender morsel of Michael Bay’s latest opus with special guests fan-favorite Earl and the great Luke Ski. Oh, and Nathan was there too, waggling his tongue and swigging Baileys Irish Cream the whole time.

One more thing: you might notice the din of a party in the background. This party is not in celebration of Michael Bay and his cinematic achievement; that’s just how we roll.

Episode 75: Hitler G-strings Rumble Balls

On this edition of The Scope, we invite two not-so show regulars to stop by for some crazy fun. For those of you that must know, we’re talking about Possible Oscar’s bass humping fiend, Nathan (sorry, no video online to demonstrate video here!), and Guns N’ Roses’ stalker (GNR was a hip band in the late 80s and early 90s…look em up, whippersnappers) Mike.

These two “gentlemen” were kind enough to play in our first official “Geek Match Game.” You know how we roll: we steal ideas from long-established concepts and then throw in some questions about G.I.Joe and virginity to make the thing our own. Good times.

We also steal from ourselves by bringing Jared’s Micro-Reviews from Twitter into the actual show. Talk about cross-synergy!

And finally, another huge shout-out to Mike. He was insane demented generous enough to sponsor the very historic 75th episode of our labor of love. Mike, you can ride on the G-String Shuttle anytime you want.

Episode 74: Black Light, Gray Light, White Light

The 74th episode gives a big middle finger to the morning crew of KDWB (yeah, we’re looking at you, David Ryan) by completely ripping off a bit they’ve been doing for the past couple of weeks. That being said, they don’t have Scope Music Expert, Al, in studio to help them out like we do. And, as we all know, anytime Al stops by, everything in the world is A-OK.

And in an unusual twist of events, your Scope crew reviews TWO summer movies. Unfortunately for Adam, one of them isn’t the Nia Vardalos vehicle, My Life in Ruins.

Opa!

Episode 73: The 2008-2009 TV Year in Review

The TV season is over, so naturally it’s time for us to talk about it. It’s a full boat for the discussions as Molly, Scooter, and even Adam are in the house with plenty of opinion to toss around regarding the hits and misses of this past season.

We also managed to see another big summer blockbuster film — don’t get used to it. Eventually we’ll crash and burn and leave you, the poor listener, without significant and timely movie-related content.

Episode 72: The Curious Case of the Missing Soundtrack

It took some work — listen to the episode for the explanation — but before you is the latest episode of The Scope. Earl joins us for a discussion of all things Star Trek, including our spoilerific review of the new film. Also, Shane sees dead people, Earl and Jared talk murder, and The Scope joins the throngs of media outlets talking about Brett Favre.

Episode 71: Can I Get a Drip-Drip: The Captain Planet Doobage Hour

It’s time for The Scope Summer Movie Preview, the segment in which we act all important and informed about the summer movie season, when the reality is we won’t see a large portion of the films. But first, special guest John Norton drops in to announce his new podcast, “Zero Hour with John Norton.” We say it’s awfully fortunate his name is John Norton, otherwise that’s a very awkward title for a show.

All that, plus Adam indulges himself with an extended news segment that constitutes a large portion of the show’s bulbous running length. As usual, he doesn’t get any help from the rest of us with keeping things tight. You’ve been warned.

Episode 70: Monkeying Around With Bodies

After getting all hot and bothered on the previous show, Jared and Shane are joined once again by “I play when I want to play” Adam for a fan-driven 70th episode. The guys, after promising for months to answer listener-submitted questions, finally deliver the goods.

Word of warning: if the show isn’t as awesome as it usually is, you have only yourself to blame; your Scope hosts can only be as good as the questions submitted. If the show soared, feel free to pat yourself on the back. If it sputtered, feel free to verbally abuse yourself. (It’s what we do after every show. Try walking in our shoes, punks!)

The gents also review the latest from The Doves and try something never attempted: an instant random review of a long gone television program. Frasier and Ray’s wife, we hardly knew ye.

Episode 69: In The Midst Of Our Business

In an unprecedented event, Adam skips out on another recording of America’s 1,256th favorite podcast about geeks and pop culture. Why would he do that? Our guess is to work on his current passion project: hydroponic eggplant farming. Don’t ask. He won’t tell.

After listening, we’re sure Adam will be kicking himself. He missed out on the most unsexy sexy episode of the Scope ever. Yes, the show was dedicated to the number “69″ and all of the naughtiness that goes with it.

While The Scope didn’t get all that nasty, Jared and Shane did tell some moderately embarrassing stories about past sexual transgressions. Newsflash: the guys were not the ultimate lady-killers you imagined them to be. (Insert uncomfortable serial-killer comedy here.)

We also let some of our listeners listener get in on the act by reading her embarrassing story live! And Metrobuzzer John Norton comes through big time with one of the most impactful sick twisted truthful voicemails ever. Don’t taze me, Dude!
