Not a sad day when KG gets traded? I don’t think so. It is going to be the downfall of the Wolves as he is pretty much the only good thing on the team. I have been a die hard fan sinse the team started and I don’t care to go back to the days being the complete and utter laughing stock of the league.

Yeah there is a bad talent around him but the man can’t carry the team to the playoffs by himself, he needs aleast a few good players around him like Shaq (despite as much as I loath him) has players like Dwayne Wade around him, etc. If I wasn’t at work I would write more but for now I will leave it at that for now.

2004. Who was center? Birk? Protecting the line, protecting the QB, giving him more time to try and do thing? Oh. It was Birk. Birk has to sit out a season, what happens to Daunte? Oh he stinks. He can’t find anyone to pass to so he runs the ball. If there’s a heart and soul of the Vikings it’s Matt Birk. And having Birk out for a season showed where Daunte was really lacking as a “head game” quarterback.
Now am I pinning all the woe’s of the Vikes on Culpepper? No. But he doesn’t have the head game to be a great quarterback. And that’s not because of the color of his skin. It’s just watching the man play.
KG on the Wolves. Now he’s a good player, but he can’t do it on his own, and needs some support and some stronger teammates. I have a feeling we’re going to lose him, and that will be a sad day. He’s come so far, and improved year after year.
I think it is incredibly harsh to say that Minnesotans didn’t like Daunte because he was black. That has nothing to do with it. If we didn’t like black people then we wouldn’t have given Kriby Puckett as much credit as we did, and still do. Now are there some people out there who didn’t like Culpepper because of the color of his skin? I’m sure there are(I’d be naive not to realize that), but just because you don’t like a player, that doesn’t make you racist, or even color-centric. If you take that ultra-liberal tack, then we won’t be able to criticize anyone, and do we(or you) really want to go there?

And yes, Peyton is a good QB. And he can be pretty funny as this seasons SNL showed. (not as good as when Joe Montana was on, but still funny).

Good show this week. Since Shane likes giving me a ribbing on how difficult it was for me to give the scope score, I will give a small critique: Shane, you do not have to call every band’s first mainstream album “their first album”. Jimmy Eat World had several albums before “The Middle” hit the airwaves. (I’m guessing that) you also insinuated that Travis had a “fantastic debut album” with their second album “The Man Who”. Their first album was “Good Feeling” which was only big in the U.K. while “The Man Who” which blew up in the U.K. and made a small dent in the U.S. alternative radio world was actually their second album. I felt bad about writing this at first, but I know how much Shane likes to be right and make other people feel wrong. Shane, I just want to make you a better host and that his my only motivation for telling you that. I suppose a simple phone call would’ve been suffice, but I thought everyone could join in the fun.

Daunte was given flack because he was black? I don’t think so. I think he was given flack because he wasn’t a great quarterback.

Then what about 2004, when he would have won the MVP had it not been for Peyton Manning breaking the TD record. 69% completion rate, 4717 yards, 39 TDs, 110 QB rating. Not to mention his 400+ yards running and 2 additional TDs.

And you can’t say he just had 1 good year, as he was amazing in 2000 and at the very least nearly great in 2003. And the “Randy Moss, duh” argument falls flat now too. Oakland Raiders?

Trainspotting 2? Is it going to be called “Porno”? That’s the name of the sequel that Irvine Welsh wrote. It’s pretty good. It’s all about the same group of people ten years later and they decide to make an adult movie. Could be good.

“Nutty Professor” didn’t kill Eddie Murphy, it actually helped bring his career back. For a time. And then he made “I Spy”.

And “Stardust” will hopefully be great and do the Neil Gaiman/Charles Vess novel justice.

Beastie boys album? Awesome. Are we too old to listen to cool music? Will the Beasties still have a loyal and large fan base? Do College kids still listen to them?

Nothing like being topical with “Delta Farce”. When did those movies originally come out? Early 80′s? I’m glad Larry is right there on the cusp of pop culture. Maybe he’s just been asking the studio to “get ‘er done” for the past 20 years, and they finally got around to it.
