Under The Scope | Movie Review: 10 Cloverfield Lane

In our latest Scope movie review, Jared and Shane discuss the super-secretive film, 10 Cloverfield Lane. You know, the possible sequel to Cloverfield (which was kept pretty secret, too.)

In keeping with the spirit of the movie and the actual review, that means this text can’t tell you much about the plot, the twists, the surprise appearance by the entire cast of Roseanne, and the killing, on screen, of Jar-Jar Binks. But if we did, it might be the review ever done on The Scope.

Still, it’s a worthy listen. Or watch. So, won’t you join us on the mysterious journey that is the Scope review of 10 Cloverfield Lane?

The Scope 10 Cloverfield Lane review lacks an appearance by the Cloverfield monster. Maybe he’ll come out and visit on a future show!

Episode 226: O.J. and Chill

In this edition of The Scope, the guys belly up to the Nerd Round Table for a super discussion of a lot of things. To find out what those things are, you’ll have to make the effort to listen yourself. It’s not like we have to tell you everything. Like the great pizza debate, conventions, “R” rated superhero movies, and life and death.

What are we, your keepers? Sheesh.

The Scope episode 226 wants trucker hats that say, “Make CONvergence great again!”

Every year but this one, that is.

Instead, Jared, Adam, and Shane take the opportunity with episode 225 to catch up on past week events, catch up on Adam’s news, and engage in something brand new called, “popcorn mouth.” You’ll have to see it and hear it to believe it. What are you waiting for?

Episode 224: The Scope’s 10-year Anniversary: Back to the 80’s Trivia

In celebration of ten years of podcasting greatness, your hosts play a trivia game that inspired the entire concept of The Scope!

While it’s no Jeopardy, this 80s-themed trivia battle has legs. You’re bound to be entertained when Jared and Adam try to remember useless facts from the olden days of Ronnie Reagan and Alf from Melmac.

So, if you like games, trivia and Scope nostalgia, fire up your podcaster and get to listening!

The Scope episode 224 asks the question: Who’s Ken Ober?

Under The Scope | Movie Review: Deadpool

In 2016, the superhero films are a startin’ early. On the latest Scope movie review, Jared and Shane take a look at the first hero film of the year, Deadpool.

The “merc with the mouth” returns to the screen after a disastrous debut in some lousy Wolverine film. This time around, Ryan Reynolds and company try to right the Marvel/X-Men universe ship with a more…faithful take on the beloved comic book character.

That means: a costume that looks like Deadpool, potty humor, ultra violence, and breaking of the 4th wall. So, yeah, this ain’t your typical Marvel film. (And wait until you see old Stan Lee’s cameo!)

The time is now. Check out the Scope review. And then check out the movie. You know you ****ing want to, you ****-****ing **** ****weed. (Inspired by Mr. Pool.)

The Scope Deadpool review wants a Voltron ring.

Episode 223: Mr. Meowgi and Headbugs

Now that we’re a few weeks in the year 2016, Jared, Adam, and Shane thought it would be great to use episode 223 to look ahead to what’s coming in the next 365. Movies, video games, and politics made the list. It’s 85.5% likely that it’ll be a spirited conversation.

And, if you pay close attention, you might learn a thing about Adam’s brand-new Leaf antenna. That, in itself, is worth 45 minutes of your time, right? So stop reading this and start listening to the latest Scope!

The Scope episode 223 got in the gigabit zone.

Episode 222: Himalayan Salt and Frosted Tips

After a nice, long winter break, Jared, Adam, and Shane return to jump start the Scope for 2016. In this edition, the guys talk about Star Wars (AGAIN. Enough, already) and the upcoming “big game.” That’s Super Bowl L for those that aren’t scared of copyright infringement. For the record, All three Scope hosts are picking the Panthers to win.

And, if all that catching up wasn’t enough, Adam kicks out the jam with a a stellar edition of the news. So feel free to ring in the new year with a brand new The Scope!

The Scope episode 222 features Adam S: Investigative Reporter, Jared R: Southern Gentleman, and M.C. Chew-B.
