Episode 228: Batman v Superman v The Scope

The most important super hero event of 2016 (at least to DC and WB) is here! Batman and Superman face off in a battle that holds the fate of planet Earth in their hands! (How’s that for hyperbole?) And your Scope hosts by the names of Jared and Shane are going to tell you how it all went down.

Yeah, it’s a shame Adam couldn’t be in on the fun…but he’s still lost in the woods looking for that one last hidden Easter egg.

So the question remains: will your Scope guys pile on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice like so many others or will they come at it with a more reasoned, rational viewpoint? The only way to find out: watch or listen to the latest episode of The Scope…RIGHT NOW!

The Scope episode 228 wants to see The Great Filet in 70mm, like right now.

Episode 227: The Scope Essentials: Atari 2600

Instead of a four hour tribute to Jackee Harry and her seminal TV show, “227,”  Jared, Adam, and Shane return to the world of retro video game systems with a deep dive into the Atari 2600. We’re talkin’ pixel games with pixel sounds (whatever that is!) Yeah, the quality may not be what it is now, but without this system, there’d be no GameCube.

Think about that when you feel all video game elitist.

Yeah, thought so.

So forget about any tenuous 227 connections and start remembering the classic video game system that started it all. Your Scope hosts have it covered this week!

The Scope episode 227 wants in on Adam’s laser tag league.

Under The Scope | Movie Review: 10 Cloverfield Lane

In our latest Scope movie review, Jared and Shane discuss the super-secretive film, 10 Cloverfield Lane. You know, the possible sequel to Cloverfield (which was kept pretty secret, too.)

In keeping with the spirit of the movie and the actual review, that means this text can’t tell you much about the plot, the twists, the surprise appearance by the entire cast of Roseanne, and the killing, on screen, of Jar-Jar Binks. But if we did, it might be the review ever done on The Scope.

Still, it’s a worthy listen. Or watch. So, won’t you join us on the mysterious journey that is the Scope review of 10 Cloverfield Lane?

The Scope 10 Cloverfield Lane review lacks an appearance by the Cloverfield monster. Maybe he’ll come out and visit on a future show!

Episode 226: O.J. and Chill

In this edition of The Scope, the guys belly up to the Nerd Round Table for a super discussion of a lot of things. To find out what those things are, you’ll have to make the effort to listen yourself. It’s not like we have to tell you everything. Like the great pizza debate, conventions, “R” rated superhero movies, and life and death.

What are we, your keepers? Sheesh.

The Scope episode 226 wants trucker hats that say, “Make CONvergence great again!”
